Privacy Policy

Effective October 13, 2026 · Updated October 13, 2026

1. Who operates Nino

Nino Desktop and ninoai.org are developed and operated by JIM50051, an independent developer based in Wisconsin, USA. Nino is the product name. The public location disclosed for the operator is Wisconsin, USA; no residential address is published. For privacy requests, contact ninosassmaster@gmail.com. “We” means JIM50051. This policy covers the desktop app, website chat demo, and desktop license checkout. AI, voice, plugin, hosting, payment, and email companies that you choose are separate providers with their own terms and privacy notices.

2. Information involved and why

3. Local storage, logs, and audio

Desktop conversations and private app data remain on your PC unless a feature sends selected information to a provider or the license service receives activation data. People who can access your Windows account or files may be able to access local conversation files. Provider API keys in the Windows desktop app are protected with Windows user-account encryption; this does not mean every local conversation file is encrypted.

Before the app starts, its required first-use screen asks you to reach the end of both legal documents, agree to the Terms, acknowledge this Privacy Policy, and confirm that you are at least 18. The app stores the accepted document revisions, age confirmation, and date and time in local app data on your PC; this record is not sent to Nino's servers. If either document's content or the age policy changes, Nino asks you to read and confirm again.

Privacy mode suppresses new session transcripts, detailed turn logs, memory extraction, and diary updates; chat history for continuity still saves. Detailed turn logs are optional and can include prompts, messages, and tool details. Plugin activity is a separate local history of up to 100 recent calls. It records the plugin and tool names, time, and outcome, but not the call inputs or returned content. You can clear this history in Plugins settings. Use Data and privacy to export or clear available local data. Clear private data removes local conversations, memories, diary, notes, logs, plugin activity, uploads, generated audio, pending plugin approvals, and imported avatars. It keeps provider keys, plugin connections, license data, and app preferences.

Speech recognition runs locally by default. When you use a remote speech provider, audio needed for transcription is sent to it. Nino deletes a source clip after a successful transcription unless Keep transcribed voice clips is enabled. A clip from a failed transcription may remain on your PC.

4. Third-party services and retention

The website chat request sets OpenAI's store option to false. That disables Responses API application-state storage for that request, but it is not a zero-retention promise: OpenAI says default API abuse-monitoring logs can include prompts and responses and are generally retained for up to 30 days, with stated exceptions. See OpenAI API data controls. OpenAI's API data-use and retention terms apply to its handling.

Cloudflare, Google, PayPal, Resend (when enabled), GitHub, and any selected AI, speech, voice, or plugin service may process information under their own privacy terms. The website does not run Nino-operated behavioral advertising code and does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals. Third-party services may use their own cookies or similar technologies. Review Cloudflare, Google, and PayPal privacy notices.

Local app data stays on your PC until you delete it or the app removes it as part of a feature you use. Nino's license database stores order identifiers and status, license-key hashes, encrypted keys, activation/device identifiers, payer identifiers, and timestamps. Active-license records are retained so Nino can validate the license. Records for unpaid, refunded, or revoked purchases may remain afterward as needed for payment reconciliation, support, accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, or legal obligations. Nino does not currently run automatic deletion on these database records; email ninosassmaster@gmail.com to request access or deletion. We will verify the request and assess any applicable retention need. Support emails may be kept while a request is being resolved and afterward where needed for the same purposes. Third-party providers apply their own retention policies.

5. Your controls and privacy rights

You can export or clear the local data described above from Settings → Data and privacy. The export includes plugin activity history. This does not delete license-service records, provider data, provider keys, plugin connections, or app preferences. To request access to or deletion of service-held personal information, email ninosassmaster@gmail.com. Do not post license keys, private messages, or other sensitive information in a public community channel.

Depending on where you live and which privacy laws apply, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of personal information, withdraw consent, or complain to a regulator. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA if the operator is covered by those laws. Requests may require identity verification and may be subject to legal exceptions. Email ninosassmaster@gmail.com to make a request; we will respond within the time required by applicable law.

6. International processing and children

Third-party services may process information in the United States and other countries where those providers operate. Their terms and privacy notices describe their handling and any transfer safeguards they provide. Nino is intended for adults aged 18 and older. A person under 18 should not use Nino or submit personal information through its services. This age rule does not replace any child-privacy duties that may apply by law.

7. Changes and contact

We will date changes to this policy. Material changes to data practices should be clearly disclosed and handled with any notice or consent required by law. General product support is available through the Nino support community. Send privacy requests to ninosassmaster@gmail.com, not to a public Discord channel.
